Travis Banta, Patent Attorney

Travis Banta is a patent attorney with 9 years of experience. Travis began his career as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office and worked for one of the world’s premiere intellectual property law firms during law school. After graduation, Travis returned home to Utah and worked at a small firm until he started Atlas Intellectual Property Law in 2015. Over the years, and after hundreds of allowed patents, Travis has learned to prepare and prosecute patent applications to strategically protect his clients’ interests while working efficiently with examiners at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Experience as a patent examiner and as an agent/attorney gives him a unique perspective on how to effectively secure and monetize intellectual property. Travis holds a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, a B.S. in electrical engineering, a B.A. in Chinese, and a minor in mathematics from Brigham Young University. From circuitry repair to circuitry patents, Travis does all things electrical and electromechanical.
